Enamelwork on copper, and sterling silver jewellery, available to purchase from my Etsy store
Simple and contemporary pieces, some representational and some handpainted with abstract designs. Occasional vintage references mixed with bold design.
I use traditional tools and work with metals, but I also make jewellery to explore the expression, sentiment and symbolism of it, so I also use found objects and non-precious materials
Abstract contemporary silver
Contemporary rings made from textured and oxidised sterling silver.
Enamel and kindling on waxed cotton thread
Abstract enamel panels, kiln fired on copper, combined with angular wooden beads, which I made from some interesting pieces of wood that were in a bag of kindling - too good to burn, such a gorgeous rust colour.
Sandwich Ring
To make Sandwich Ring, a portrait was drawn onto a clear sandwich bag, which I then formed into a contemporary and wearable memento. The value of this piece is in the poetry of the process and the materials, and the subject of the drawing transformed into abstraction as a private memory.
